We are all about the Aloe Collagen Energy Elixir- packed with 10 grams of protein, this elixir not only acts as a beauty booster, but the collagen and aloe add healing properties to the joints and bones to make for a “look good, feel good” lifestyle! This elixir was inspired by Garden of Flavors very own Lisa Reed, whose passion for this product came straight from her heart and into our homes.
Lisa's daughter Tuyen was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was one and-a half years old after being adopted from Vietnam. Tuyen has spastic cerebral palsy which affects her movement and muscles. This prompted her to undergo multiple surgeries to help with spasticity and walking.
With Lisa having a background in plant based nutrition, she went to work conjuring up a mix of ingredients to help remedy Tuyen's aches, pains and scarring post surgery. Lisa found that the peptides in marine collagen helped Tuyen with flexibility, diminished scarring and helped her heal quickly.
The lily of the desert aloe acts as a hydrating component and the collagen supports the muscles, skin, bones, blood, cartilage and ligaments. While it may have been an easier decision to go with a vegan collagen,Lisa preferred the marine collagen because the results were direct and visible.
