Hot Flashes are extremely uncomfortable and can be embarrassing. That feeling of intense heat around the chest, face, and neck area lasting anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes can cause sweating and anxiety followed by chills.

One of the most common ways to alleviate hot flashes is hormone replacement therapy. Personally, I did not want the added estrogen in my bloodstream due to my family’s history of breast cancer and cardiovascular disease, so I kept searching for a natural way to alleviate menopause symptoms.
I began to think about every aspect of my day and was curious as to why I only had hot flashes at night and they were more severe on the weekends. This led me to think about alkalinity, a subject I am very passionate about. I am fortunate to spend my day in our juice factory where I sample our Green juice all day long – a sip here, a sip there, flushing my body with alkalinity. Then the aha moment happened - It was our Green Juice!! I began drinking a bottle of green juice about one hour before bed and my hot flashes nearly disappeared!
So, may I suggest to all of you ladies haunted by these miserable hot flashes and other menopause symptoms to give alkalinity a try. Attempt to avoid acidic foods such as grains, sugar, dairy, sodas, coffee, alcohol, and meat – especially processed meats such as lunchmeat. Instead, add these foods: greens vegetables, legumes, root vegetables, avocados, and nuts.
